TAKE THE LEAD CANINE TRAINING

Take the Lead Canine Training headed up by Cathy Mayer, is proud to be joining Acacia Animal Health Center and will soon be offering several classes designed to help you and your canine companion communicate through love, trust, and gentle guidance.

Cathy has been training dogs for 8 years, and believes she has truly found her purpose in life. Originally from Wisconsin, she moved to California in 1984 and currently resides in Escondido. Cathy has a very “Pack” minded training style and will not use harsh or painful techniques to teach your companion. She believes your dog really wants to comply, and that it is our job to communicate to them what we want in their language not ours. She believes it is necessary to remain calm and patient and thus her mantra is “Just Breathe”.

Cathy's three labs work with her in class and are all outstanding mentors for any dog. They are certified Therapy dogs, as well as doggie blood donors so they take their jobs very serious and are always trying to help their own kind.
