Acacia Animal Health Center has been providing excellent medical care to your birds, rabbits, reptiles and other exotic pets for over 25 years. With 3 veterinarians on staff with special interest in exotics, as well as a team of registered Veterinary Technicians with exotic animal expertise, your pets are in good hands.

Dr. Gary Gallerstein, author of "The Complete Pet Bird Owner's Handbook", and co-author of "First Aid for Birds" as well as Dr. Bausone, who combines western medicine with holistic medical care services, head up our Avian and Exotics Team at Acacia. They are both happy to welcome Dr. Brian Rois-Mendez to their team, who brings his enthusiasm for working with exotics to Acacia. Pat Mulloy, RVT is our Avian and Exotics Nursing Supervisor, and Debbie Fisher, MLT, is head of our diagnostic laboratory. Together, they work with our bird and exotic patients in a separately dedicated wing specifically for these special clients. Acacia even has a separate surgical suite dedicated exclusively for our avian and exotic patients. This unique design, is really important to the psychological and environmental well-being of our bird, small mammal and reptile patients. These patients are never housed within sight or noise of dogs or cats, and are housed in their own enclosures. As a result, the stress level for these species while in the hospital or while boarding in our resort is minimized.

We offer the same full range of services to our bird and exotic animal clients as we do for our dog and cat clients, including holistic and acupuncture treatments. Some additional services offered include:
